Gigabit voucher scheme

Have you heard about it yet?

The Government’s Gigabit Voucher Scheme provides eligible UK small and medium-sized businesses with grants of up to £2,500 towards the capital cost of installing new gigabit-capable internet connections to their premises.

In most cases, this is sufficient to cover the installation costs entirely!

Commonly referred to as “leased lines”, these full fibre networks provide the most secure, fast and reliable internet speeds available. Installing leased line connections can help businesses to scale up and future-proof themselves against an environment of ever-increasing digital demands.

Features of leased lines

• Leased lines provide their owners with exclusive and uncontended access to the internet, avoiding slowdowns during peak periods to ensure that productivity is not hampered.

• Unlimited data usage.

• Identical download and upload speeds, better supporting requirements of internet-connected devices and online business applications, such as cloud-based services, video streaming/conferencing and VOIP telephony systems.

Don’t miss out! Act now to claim your £2,500

The Government has made £67m available for the Gigabit Voucher Scheme, which ends in March 2021 – or once the funding has all gone, if sooner.

To qualify, your business will have fewer than 250 employees, a turnover of under €50m and balance sheet of less than €43m, and will have received public grants totalling less than €200k in the last three years. The service will also be from a registered supplier for a service contract of at least 12 months and must deliver at least double the speed of any service that it replaces, with a minimum bandwidth of 100Mbit/s to your premises.

Full terms and conditions can be found at https://gigabitvoucher.culture.gov.uk/
